SOUTHAMPTON HOUSE AT BIG FRESH POND

New single family house near a freshwater pond in the Town of Southampton. This project is in a wooded area and recalls the forests of upstate New York with a beach house aesthetic familiar to the Hamptons.  Sea grasses and a gently rolling hill surround the dark wood and concrete exterior.  The interior is organized around a central open stair with a perforated metal screen and large glazed areas. The interior communal spaces open to the terrace and pool. A large double height artist studio is integrated into the plan which includes a ground floor living suite and four bedrooms on the upper floor.
